London & London's Creditors' Rights practice is supported by experienced attorneys, each of whom has an extensive professional background in preserving and protecting creditors’ claims.   The firm continuously tracks legislative and regulatory developments and maintains the highest levels of compliance with applicable regulatory regimes at the federal, state and local levels.   The group is supported by well-trained paralegals, legal assistants, and account resolution specialists, as well as a sophisticated data base that facilitates tracking of claims and payments.   The firm is able to provide its commercial and retail creditor clients with accurate, up-to-date information regarding the status of claims, payments, and litigation.   In depth, In-house training of all staff is undertaken on a regular basis to ensure compliance with all applicable banking and consumer protection laws.

Commercial Litigation

The attorneys in London & London's Commercial Litigation practice group provide litigation support to the firm's Creditors' Rights, Business and Corporate Law, and Real Estate/ Finance practice areas.

The firm represents area businesses and health care providers in commercial disputes, including claims arising from contracts for the supply of materials or the provision of services. The firm also represents a number of institutional lenders and businesses in matters related to loans and other credit arrangements, such as payments due on notes, delinquent accounts, priority disputes among lenders, and creditors' rights, including:

Bankruptcy

London & London represents creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings. Our clients represent a broad cross-section of the lending community, ranging from local banks to national lending institutions. Some of the services offered by the firm's bankruptcy group include:

  • Conducting 2004 examinations
  • Contesting the nondischargeability of debt by preparing and filing adversary complaints

Foreclosures

London & London's attorneys are experienced in all aspects of the foreclosure process in Connecticut. The firm's real estate attorneys work in tandem with the Collections and Creditors' Rights practice group in an effort to help creditors realize payment on judgment liens and preserve and defend real estate collateral in secured transactions. The firm also represents condominium associations in the foreclosure of condominium liens, and has served as counsel to a number of municipalities in the State of Connecticut in the foreclosure of tax and other municipal liens.
